Yahoo provides the back end, but the Rogers.com addresses are owned by Rogers. My understanding is when you cancel, it will take a few months and then the email address is released so its available if someone else wants it and Rogers can assign to to them.

I am an existing customer who had 50% off promo until end of June. I called in to renew the 50% offer. But Rogers CSR or retention wouldn't do it and offered me 25% off. But I turned down their offer and put in a cancellation request.
