Just had my consultation with Lasik MD today, they said because of my high prescription, I should go with custom wavefront lasik. The cost would just be under $4000. They did mention that if I ever needed a re-adjustment, there would be no charge, even after the first 5-years.
They suggested I go with the keratome, however my optometrist said I should I go with intralase since the cut is more accurate, heals quicker, and there's less chance of complication compared to the manual blade. Has anybody went with the keratome wish to comment on this?
They also mentioned that your eyes will be very dry for the first year so you will need to use eye drop regularly (6-10 times a day), is that true?
I'm planning to book a appointment with Bochner this week as I would like to make my decision soon. I've pretty much narrowed it down between Lasik MD and Bochner so I'm weighing my options.
