Can't comment on suit-to-outerwear sizing, unfortunately. As for comparisons to the other big players such as Canada Goose and friends, check out the link in my signature and read some reviews.
I paid an arm and a leg for my CMFR Gormley and that was even after a 15% discount in January 2012. I want to hang myself every time I see large sales on CMFR like this one, and the funny thing is that these aren't even the lowest prices RFD has seen on CMFR (there was a $300 sample sale a few months back that really set the bar nice and low for prices). The funny thing is that here on RFD I am known for sniffing out really rock bottom deals on Canada Goose, never having paid retail for one, and I got seduced into buying a CMFR at retail minus 15% discount.
So in comparison, yes, these prices are a bargain for a Canadian-made, Canadian-owned, waterproof, down-filled, slim-fitting, coyote/mink fur, simple winter jackets without a gigantic logo on the arm, which I know is a huge gripe for many. The logo on the arm is a simple embroidered "crescent moon" shape as seen on my personal Gormley below. It's my primary parka, and I can't stand bombers because they aren't cut nearly long enough for any real protection in my area. Ontario is suffering from an extreme cold snap this week. I'm depending on my Gormley to get me through another one of these cold spells.
