EDIT: Looks like it's real. the card would be good for purchasing from overseas, but you won't be collecting your favourite loyalty points. However, a 2.5% saving is comparable to any point redemption. Cash is still king. :)
Just applied online because of the exchange rate thing. :) it's immediately approved. it says card will be mailed out in 5-7 days.. and for a 3-star hotel, it's like 20000 points for 1 night. for the one at downtown toronto (yonge/bloor), it's 25000 points.
